Cinque terre♥

This weekend we went to Cinque terre which in english mean 5 lands, wich are Corniglia,Vernazza,Monterosso,Manarola and Rio Maggiore.

Cinque terre is famous for his pesto, sea food, miele de Corniglia and the beaches which are amazing, some of the students went hiking and some just went right away to the beach, before getting to the beach we went by the Via del Amore, this means in english road of love, where you can see the deep blue ocean and the famous "lovers locks" all over it. Cinque terre now is one of my favorite places ever, I was feeling like in a movie, something different that I have ever experience before,my first European beach,my first road of love,my first tough about how a place like this can bring you so many positive things into your life.

Distorsione alla caviglia in una "partita di calcio"

After having a fight with my google account, now I can post my twisted ankle adventure. Last week plan for the evening activity was to go play soccer in a stadium with about 20 students..actually we where only like 13,anyway..the night started out accordind to the plan,we where all excited and ready to play soccer! We walked to the bus stop, got on the bus,got off,the normal routine. Once we got off the bus we had no idea where we were, good start for a good night right? So we waited for the next bus hoping that one would take us to the stadium, we even took out the GPS to make sure we got there..Well it led us to this long straight street, all excited and happy that we were almost there..Suddenly I hear Danielle that was walking about 20 feet in front of me going like "OH MY GOD" I knew it had to be something bad, of course it was, we approached a hill of what looked as steep as an 80 degree angle. We must have climbed it for 25 minutes, after that shocking thing we get to the destination that the GPS led us to wich was on this hill and low and behold..Its just an apartment building, no soccer field, no nothing. Complete fail of the night, we still tried to make the most of the night though, we started walking to the monestary, but before that it was decided to go hike a trail. The trail ended up being so scary, where I saw something or someone walking trough the woodsbut of course..no one believes me! After a while we we approached the monastery. After this adventure, Daniele and Antonio got for everyone gelatos :) Very eventful, fun and exciting night, not exactly as planned but I think it was better than the actual plan!

Italia♥

I can't believe there is only one more full week to go and we are done with this program.
It is amazing how fast time goes by and that you have yo enjoy every single second of it.
My italian class has been helping me to improve my language skills and I already feel proud of it,also my art history class..Oh Daniele he sure can walk and walk all the time haha, but I love his class,he actually reminds me of my dad, always telling great stories of every single place in the world :) I have to say I am actually in love with how Italians are in love with their history I thinks that's just FABULOUS that a country can be proud and amazed about their own history every day.

After a great talk with one of the staff members last afternoon I got to think about differences in this trip I have learned that differences between us is what makes us so unique in our own way. If I have to explain the word "different" I feel that now I can say more about it,it's all about our own culture, our traditions, our language and our own individuality as a person. You make your own difference by being who you want to be and by learning that we are united by our differences.

2 settimane

two weeks and i fell like i have been living here forever, this trip is getting better and better everyday, adapating to new people and new things isnt as easy as it sounds. im not going to lie, at first i was homesick, being away from my family and friends was making me feel sad and confused, but i think thats part of the whole experience.

my dad says that every trip you go on makes you grow and mature, so i guess its just part of the game we call life. italy is amazing; every step of the way is full of history, amazing building, and great culture. when i was little my dad used to send me postcards from europe, telling me how amazing a beautiful it was, and that one day when i became older and mature enough, he would show me those incredible places. now its my turn to send him a postcard from the same place that we both fell in love with.
